We recently sold a 4 bedroom house in Greatham Road, Bushey (lot 30 - April 2009 auction). Connells Estate Agents had been marketing it for months and had finally agreed a sale at £180,000 with the vendor but the sale was stalling.

The vendor called us up for some advice and after 3 weeks of marketing the property, we sold it at auction for £197,000 - an impressive £17,000 more than the Connells price and in just a fraction of the time. And of course, because it was via auction, there was an immediate exchange of contracts and completion was concluded within 4 weeks - thus proving that in many cases, contrary to the misconception, auctioning your property will achieve a better price than selling it via a local estate agent.
