HIPs
Home Information Packs are now compulsory for all auction properties and need to be applied for before the official marketing of the property commences. However, if your property falls into any of the following categories, then you are exempt:
- Properties in Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Private arrangements where the property is not offered on the open market (eg. sold to a family member, neighbour or friend)
- Properties sold with tenants and not available for owner occupation
- Portfolios of residential property
- 'Right to Buy' sales by Local Authorities or other social landlords
- Non-residential properties
- Mixed commercial and residential properties
- Properties with leases of 21 years or less left to run
- Properties for seasonal and holiday accommodation
- Properties for demolition or redevelopment

£275 + VAT for a Freehold property
£305 + VAT for a Leasehold property
